GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please read these terms and conditions before using the services and website of rovinj.com, they contain important information about your rights and obligations. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Croatia.
This rovinj.com website is owned by Natale doo ("Natale", “we”, “us”, “our”) a company registered in Rijeka, Croatia. We are members of the Association of Croatian Travel Agents (UHPA).
 
1. Use of our website
 
By accessing this website you agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, you may not use or access our service.
Except where otherwise noted, the contents of this website including the design, text, graphics and arrangement of the pages are our property and are our copyrighted material or that of the relevant content providers. You may only use the website to make legitimate enquiries or bookings. You must not copy, transmit, modify, reproduce, download or use for any commercial purpose or for any purposes which are unlawful. All rights are reserved.
 
2. Rentals
 
Natale act as agent for the owners of the holiday properties we feature. We are authorised to contract rentals on behalf of the owners of the properties offered at the official price of the current season. Each property has been inspected by Natale.
However if you book a holiday through us, once your holiday has been confirmed we will accept responsibility for it in accordance with these terms and conditions as Natale. If you have any queries please contact us before making any booking for any service. Once deposit payment is made for the booking, it is deemed that you have read and understood the terms and conditions for the booking. Rentals commence at 2.00pm on the first day of the rental and end at 11.00am on the day of departure unless otherwise notified.
 
3. Make a booking
 
To secure accommodation that best suits your requirements, we suggest you book in advance as Rovinj is very busy at certain times of year. You may make a booking on someone else's behalf. You are responsible for ensuring that any customer in your booking complies with these terms and conditions as if that customer had made the booking. Please use the booking form to make a booking request. As soon as you have completed the booking form, you will receive automatically an email within a 2-3 minutes. Of the status of your reservation you will be notified within 24 hours.
If the chosen accommodation is available we will send you a confirmation to complete the booking and provide payment details.
Should the chosen accommodation not be available, Natale would provide alternative accommodation.
 
4. Payment
 
When you book your holiday, you will have to pay a deposit upfront and the balance on arrival. A deposit of 20% of the total cost of your break is required to secure your booking. All prices are quoted in Euros, all fully inclusive of VAT tax.
Payment will be accepted by the following means:
- Bank transfer
Deposit payment must be made to the owner in Euros and must be clear of all bank charges, exchange rate variations, and any other deductions. If you do not, we will have the right to cancel your reservation. Once you have made the bank transfer, a copy of the transfer should then be sent or faxed to us. Your booking is only confirmed on receipt of deposit of your booking. Written confirmation together with receipt of deposit payment of booking will be issued by us by email or fax. The balance must be paid at time of check-in, only cash is accepted.
- Credit cards
We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, American Express Card (Amex). There's no fee for using a credit card.
- PayPal
PayPal is the faster, safer way to pay online without sharing financial details. After you have confirmed the booking, our team will send you a PayPal payment link to your email address.
We do not charge commission for using PayPal.
4.1 Additional charges
Holiday tax is not included in the price and is payable in our office on arrival (Euro 1,00 per day for adults, Euro 0,50 per day for ages 12-18, under 12 years no charge).
When the key for the property is picked up, the owner may demand payment of a security deposit to cover possible damage. This deposit will be refunded when the residential unit and its inventory are returned clean and in good condition at the end of the stay. Natale is not responsible for possible controversies between you and the owner concerning the deposit.
 
5. Facilities
 
Your accomodation will have been cleaned ready for your arrival. Facilities and service include: bed linen, towels, water, gas and electricity charges, final cleaning. Towels and bed linen will be provided for and changed once a week (not including beach towels). All beds will be made up on arrival. Sofa beds where requested will not be made up but linen will be provided.
There is no additional cost for linen or the weekly linen change service, electricity, gas and water.
The description of the properties is posted in good faith and is updated regularly. Natale cannot be held responsible for changes carried out by the owner of the property without noticing Natale.
Please note that holiday insurance and holiday tax are not included in the total cost.
The property may not be occupied by more than the maximum number of persons stated in the property description. Owners reserve the right to terminate the occupancy of the property without notice or refund in the case of a breach of this condition..
Children are also counted as persons when determining the maximum occupation.
Pets may be brought along only when expressly permitted in the offer. The pets must be kept under strict control and must not be allowed on any furniture.
 
6. Booking cancellation
 
6.1 Cancellation by you
You may cancel your holiday arrangements at any time. All notification of cancellation must be made in writing by email or fax to Natale.
Since we incur costs in cancelling your holiday arrangements, you will have to pay the applicable cancellation charges (50 Euros). The rest of deposit will be given back by money transfer after having detracted the different charges and the bank commissions. The cancellation by you, with a warning of 50 days prior to the beginning of the stay, implies the loss of the deposit.
 6.2 Cancellation by us
We reserve the right to cancel your booking under the following circumstances:
- If we do not receive this deposit on time, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled by you.
- Should we in our sole discretion consider your conduct, or the conduct of any member of your party, is likely to pose a danger or impair the safety, comfort or enjoyment of our other guests, our staff or other members of the public or be likely to do so. In no circumstance no refunds or compensation will be given.
- If you failed to disclose any material facts to us including when booking your holiday or in any communications with us.
- Natale reserves the right in the case of force majeure (war, civil strife, terrorist action, fire, bad weather, epidemics, acts of any government or public authority, or any other event outside our control) or for any reason beyond our control, resulting in the property being rendered unsuitable for occupation, to substitute a property of similar or a better property. Cancelling or accepting the cancellation in which case you will receive a full and quick refund of all monies you have paid to us.
 
7. Arrival and departure
 
Accommodation (unless otherwise stated in the property details) is usually available from 2pm to 7pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11.00am on the day of departure. The keys to the property will be given to you in the company’s office in Carducci 4. 
At the arrival has to be presented a passport, after the formalities, you will be accompanied to your property, where you have to make sure the conditions of the accommodation.
Upon arrival you will find the property in clean and tidy condition. You will have to treat the accommodation you are renting out and all of the equipment that belongs to the accommodation with care. You are responsible for leaving the accommodation in good order and in a clean condition. If you or any guest causes any damage to the property or any item in it or on its premises, you will be required to pay for the loss and/or damage caused.
Any change to the arrival times must be advised to Natale within the opening time of the office prior arrival in order to avoid that the owner may refuse entrance to the property. If you have not contacted us to advise us of your late arrival or in case of no-show, we will assume the holiday is cancelled and your booking deposit will be charged.
In the event that you need to check out prior to the agreed departure date, we will use our best endeavours to obtain a refund of accommodation charges for the remainder of the stay.
 
8. Liability
 
Natale cannot accept responsibility or liability for any alterations, delay or cancellation or any other loss or damage caused by war, civil strife, sickness, bad weather, epidemics, acts of any government or public authority, or any other event outside our control.
We cannot be held responsible for any failure or interruption of services to the apartment, including electricity, plumbing, equipment and water, or any damage, disruption or noise caused as a result of repair works being carried out in another part of the property.
Natale will not be held liable for injury to person, loss of, or damage to any property of any person staying the apartments and or its general facilities and area.
In no circumstance may the period booked be exceeded, unless prior written permission has been given by Natale. You will be liable for all additional charges in respect of such extension.
You and all members of your party agree to keep the property clean and tidy, to leave the property in a similar condition to how you found it.
If you reduce the number of nights in your chosen accommodation, you must still pay for the full duration.
 
9. Complaints
 
While we endeavour to ensure that everything is presented to a high standard with your accommodation, should you need to make a complaint, the following procedure applies.
- you must inspect the property on arrival
- report any problems found with the property
All complaints should be made during the tenancy in the first instance to the owner where possible, in order that they are able to instigate rectification and secondly to Natale in order that we may investigate on your behalf. Natale will take all reasonable steps to settle the problem. We or owner cannot be held responsible for any perceived inadequacies in any of the properties that are not as such faults. In no circumstances can compensation be made for complaints raised only after the tenancy has ended should you fail to advise us during tenancy.
 
10. Jurisdiction
 
The services we offer are governed only by croatian law and any disputes will fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the court of Croatia.
