The settlement of Kukaleto is located along the regional road towards Pula. Today, it has practically become a suburb of Rovinj, only about 4 km away.
Some of the most beautiful beaches of Rovinj are located nearby – the Cisterna beach and the beach inside the campsite Veštar. Thanks to the proximity of the campsite, guests staying in Kukaleto have at their disposition various shopping-, sports- and entertainment facilities. In addition, the area is also known for a few good restaurants.
There is also an important archaeological site nearby, Monkodonjo - Monsego, inhabited 2000 years before Christ, which offers a spectacular view of the Rovinj’s archipelago.
